The nook is founded by Hannah Emmerich.

Hannah Founded the nook in 2020, over her 15 years in the hairdressing indusrty she wanted to create a space hairdressers could thrive and grow and those who visit us feel heard. She has an ability to pick out your hair vision even if you don’t know what you want.

Drawn towards lived in looks, enhancing what you already have to create something complementary.

A long time fan of the micro fringe, always inspired by fantasy films and colour blocking expert.

Life outside the nook is busy, two children and a dog doesn’t leave much free time but usually can squeeze in dinners out and a good film.

With an eye for fashion, I'm always in tune with emerging trends and love bringing fresh, dynamic styles to life.

My colour specialties include balayage, highlights, halo lights, split and panel colors, vivid and pastel tones, and classic coloring techniques—anything that lets me use hair as a creative canvas!

Outside of the salon, I love creating art and enjoy spending time hiking and biking around the Peaks. I’m also slowly working on a book about folklore,

When I’m not out exploring or writing, you’ll find me listening to spooky podcasts, diving into films and music.
